Wii Fit selling out in Japan

i would be surprised if Wii fit isn't in the top 3 selling games of all time on the Wii. People spend so much money on health and fitness its crazy. There are millions of workout DVDs, exercise balls, specialty scales (ones that calculate BMI for example), and all sorts of weird contraptions for sale. Go watch some infomercials early Sunday morning and I'm sure you'll see 2-3 ab machines, weight benches, or even the "gazelle" for sale.

Nintendo is pure genius for releasing a fitness game/machine since it's guaranteed to sell millions. Every kid who has a Wii has a mom who wants Wii fit, so at best you can expect Mario galaxy to be even with it.

Yes, Wii Fit is a collection of mini games, but really it is a workout machine. So no, i don't expect Nintendo to see the great sales of Wii fit and decide only mini games sell, the'll realize they have the most popular video game based fitness machine on the planet and release Wii fit 2,3,4 whatever with different workout routines.

Since Galaxy/Brawl/Kart will still sell millions, they'll still be selling those too. And since if you look at the top 10 you notice that only NINTENDO mini games sell (with the exception of Rayman), all 3rd parties will realize they need to make some serious games like Red Steel or Resident Evil. If only 3rd parties would realize they need to make the types of games Nintendo doesn't, then the Wii would have an awesome library.
