The gaming market in the West seems to be growing, but Japan is a puzzle. It looks like their market is shrinking, but it remains to be seen if this is just temporary lull, or a permanent thing.
Then again they're selling notably more console now than a year or two years ago. Maybe the insane numbers from the much larger, and more quickly expanding Western markets are just screwing our perception? Kind like how every launch since Halo 3 has seemed small and disappointing.
