Question is. What would happen if Sonic returned to 2D and became a Wii exclusive?

2D Sonic + 2D Mario = ???

Keeping it 2D really is the key. But classic Sonic is more than just speed, it's about atmosphere, beautiful green first levels (With a checkerboard pattern or a triangle pattern!), precise platforming, exploration (S3&K, Sonic CD), action and speed.
