It just shows how litte they know of what will happen in the future.

It is interesting how sometimes joke predictions end up more accurate than serious one.  Consider this one from 2001 in Onion, regarding the last American president:

There was also an SNL skit done back in 2000 that turned out to be only a slight exaggeration about how bad the Bush years would be

That's true.. Turns out SNL slightly underexaggerated how bad he actually was lol.
