I admit it wasn't scathing social commentary. It was just me editing the OP and removing the game references and replacing them with girl references. You see, when I was in school, I didn't like girls. It was mostly because, at the time, boys were supposed to act like they didn't like girls. As time progressed, popular opinion changed, and I matured. Just like with video games. There are those who didn't like motion control for one reason or another. Either their opinion evolved, they matured, or motion control grew boobs. Either way, people who shunned motion control in the past are ready to embrace it now......if it's done right. If Natal and the PS3 wand are imprecise gimmicks then expect them to be be criticised like the SIXAXIS controls (in most PS3 games) or the tacked on motion control in several Wii games were. If they reach a WM+ or better level of interactivity, then why shouldn't gamers look forward to it? Personally, I want Sony AND Microsoft's take on motion control to succeed. I'm a fan of games (look at my tags/game library) first. Companies/platforms second. |
Well, the PSMotion does look like a dildo, but.......
