you guys are horrible.

I've posted a few times on how this website started. Here is the short version.

ioi (brett) owns the website, and he is the original creator. He wanted a better way to track numbers and started tracking numbers for NeoGaf. There was a fallout because they didn't consider his numbers "official" (or in other words, he wasn't a big company guessing numbers, he was just a single guy guessing numbers )

Anyways, after that, ioi started VGCharts.org, which then existed for a while, and then ioi decided he wanted a .com name, but someone had already bought vgcharts.com, so he switched it to vgchartz.com. since then the website has grown. VGChartz does actually receive sales numbers from a small percentage of the worlds retail market and estimates sales just like NPD/Mediacreate/Famitsu/GFK. VGChartz is very accurate with the hardware numbers, a little less so with the software. Either way, VGChartz is free for all of its data compared to the other companies which only release top 10/50 with or without numbers.

As for the 10k viewers, I can't remember when that was. I'm fairly sure it was before this years E3 when one of our articles hit the front page of Digg.

Would that be the article stating WiiSports becoming the highest selling game of all time?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
