I am confused, take a look at  this graph

You have a sales jump of 90,000 for the US in a week in November

While you have a 170,000 jump for PS3 in Japan in a week. And we can even see it compared to similair time last year.
Your assumption makes very little sense either percentage wise or physical total wise according to that graph.

Would you like to flesh it out a bit?

EDIT: Note for referance release date for MW2 - 11/10/09

I am using NPD's numbers and going by statements from both Microsoft and Sony.  I really enjoy this site but I know it's relatively young compared to other tracking services and is still getting some kinks out of it's methodology and likely working on making more retail contacts.  One thing I do get from public statements is that it seemed like Microsoft was quiet about its hardware sales (something it doesn't usually do unless it's behind) and suddenly things changed after the release of MW2.

So the increase in 360 sales in November were primarily because of MW2, not the Walmart deal and Black Friday?

The other thing to be aware of in the argument is that you are comparing a months worth of sales in the US against no data for a weeks worth of sales for Japan? How are you going to factor in these extra conditions such as Black Friday and so on?
