The ps3 did great. The slim launch left some critics with their foot in their mouth, and the ps3 continued to benefit from the success of the x360 by being able to share some of the best games of the generation with its hd brother. The long-prophesied migration of developers from HD consoles to Wii has not even begun to happen in the slightest. If anything, it's moving in the other direction. First party titles really began to shine this year.

What I want in 2010: Sony and third parties continuing to deliver high quality games. Sony needs to make improvements to the ps3's UI, namely streamlining things like updates and installs.

The Wii did very well for itself this year. While it's no longer sold out on a regular basis, Nintendo is still delivering on bringing new people into the gaming fold. Even with a paltry release schedule for most of the year, people are still buying Wii's very steadily. WM+ and Wii Sports Resort saw release but there's very little announced that will take advantage of 1:1 controls. NSMBWii just recently released and for many 2d Mario fans, it has already skyrocketed up there among the best mario games of all time.

What I want in 2010: A more consistent first and third party lineup. More obscure VC releases, and more original efforts for WiiWare.  WM+ support from developers would be great as well, especially in a 1:1 flight game.
