Why all the Kane and Lynch hate?

Yeah I don't know either.
IMO on the same quality level as Army of Two.

If you wanna have a nice co-op game and you already own Resident Evil 5, Halo 3 and Gears 1 & 2 then check out Kane & Lynch.

There is only one part later in the game where I got stuck and I couldn't beat the level. I played it even with different people, but no matter how skilled they were, it was too hard....
