That would be looking for reasons to knock the game in some way. Don't know what your intention is, but I'm not sure of what DQX has to do with FFXIII first day sales.

It's like when people were bitching at me for saying the game would have to sell 2 million in japan to be succesfful...
everyone started bitching at me... then surprise surprise Wada announced SE expected to sell.... 2 million copies in Japan.
Final Fantasy just has higher standards of sales then other PS3 games.

His wasn't even negative. It just wasn't blowing sunshine up your butt positive. (Neither was mine... which turned out to be spot on despite people still doubting it... when Wada even said as much.)
DQ passing it is VERY likely, though then again... I can't help but feel people are migrating away from consoles in Japan.
In all honestly, most RPGs that don't try to be inventive... aren't any better in 3D then they are 2D.
It's why... although I wasn't a fan of 12's system as much as the menu based systems... I understand it.
There was nothing in 7-10 that couldn't of been accomplished in a 2D setting. (well outside a couple minigames maybe?)

The whole DQX passing in 2-3 years whenever it releases seem pretty childish though. It's like some consolation prize or rain on a parade. It's the trump to make the sales not be as impressive as they are.
