That is easily done. (though I agree with you, the comparison by killeryoshis is flawed)
Adding up the differences region by region gives the Wii an advantage of 9,621,268
We should wait till after the holidays are over though as the slight difference in holiday periods for the Americas region is giving the Wii an advantage, but with this years huge holiday sales in America (will it manage 1mil+ next week?) it won't cut that figure down by more than 2 million.

Going into next year, the Wii should handily exceed the equivalent PS2 year in America, because even matching 2009 sales (generally considered a low point for Wii till late in the year) will be exceeding PS2s equivalent year (2004 I think)
In "Others" the Wii generally exceeded the PS2 on a week by week basis for 2009 (versus PS2s 2003) though it will have to up it's game slightly to keep topping PS2 when comparing 2010 to 2004, as 2004 was the PS2s best year in Others.
For Japan we have to compare different years for a fairer picture (though they are still skewed a little) so Wiis 2009 is being compared against the PS2s 2002 (instead of 2003 like the other regions)... 2002 was the PS2s best year in Japan, while the Wii in 2009 did poor by comparison. The PS2s 2003 was not as good as it's 2002, so Wii doesn't have as much to live up to for 2010, and I do think the Wii should have a better 2010 than 2009, but I imagine it will continue to fall further behind PS2 (just at a slower pace)
I would say well done if you understood all that as I probably garbled much of it (particularly explaining which years are being compared for Japan).
