There's no fucking way.
The industry embraced the DS, because it was continuing the same leadership. This was just some journalists and analysts, the truth is the DS is not fully disruptive like the Wii. The Wii is only being supported full force by the public, and it's going to continue being this way.
Until Nintendo decides to replace it by the next console. I wouldn't be surprised if they grew fond of the Wii as Nintendo started becoming hostile to it, which is what they will do much later.
