What matters most is how strong the relationship is.   It has to be one of solid foundations, full of trust and actual LOVE, not just infatuation or other bullshit.  It'll probably take at least two years for a properly solid relationship to be formed, and only then should the question of marriage arise.

It's a mixed bag. Some marriages end young, but not because of the age. The problems still exist and thrive despite that person being well into their 30s or 40s.
