it takes all of 3 minutes to set up on Windows (personal experience), and then you don't have to run 100ft cables from your computer to your TV (couple hours + $30, again personal experience). It warrants a sticky because I've always wondered and no one has been able to answer it. I'm sure almost no one will post here, but a lot of people will want to know how.

if you follow the instructions provided you don't have to worry about that. Also, people should have a firewall setup so no one can even get in on those ports anyway.
