hmm I see what you mean in terms of freedom. I heard the castle was like an open world in Super Mario 64, so the spaceship thingy we were on didn't do it for you as a base setting? For me the motion controls were used perfectly & they worked really well. One thing I will agree with, freedom in terms of power suits was low, the read flying mario suit was AMAZING & great music played when you sued it, but you couldn't really use it much at all! Also remember SMG is the easiest 3D mario....maybe you didn't like that either? I guess to understand your love for SUper Mario 64 I may have had to play it "back in that time".....which I didn't ofcourse Do you think your complaints will be dealt with in Super Mario Galaxy 2? |
Yeah, notice how none of my complaints are related to controls or stuff like that :) Because there's just nothing to complain about.
And yes, thankfully, Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks like it's going to deal with every single one of my problems. It's like they monitored me, went "Right, so this is what Nicholas doesn't like - Let's fix it in the sequel" and then they did. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is my most hyped game right now, because it's the first game in a very, very long time which has a genuine shot at beating Super Mario 64 and overtaking the position of my best game of the forever.
