Stiff competition? Is that a pun in reference to the large amounts of genitalia present in Dante's Inferno?
Anyway, that article suggests that DI > GoW3, which makes it wrong. Also:
-God of War has NO problems with progression. A good sequel is the same gameplay style, with a few tweaks here and there. GoW2 was fantastic at this. GoW3 is better. And I HAVE played the E3 demo, so I'm in a better position to judge than him. I don't know what message boards he posts on where people are getting tired of God of War.
-If EA expects this game to sell HALF of what GoW3 finishes with, they're being overly optimistic. It's a new IP, while GoW is Sony's second biggest franchise.
