Multiplayer in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World??

I'm doing a runthrough with a friend currently (well not at this exact moment), and we've had no troubles at all. The control connects fine after we add it in the reconnect-thing (with the home button), and then we just put Marta as manual and everything goes along perfectly.
