It'd actually be quite sad. Luckily though, something tells me that the PS3's library will keep it around for quite some time. I mean, look at Sony's own offerings this gen, the PS3 in many ways will have a more quality library from Sony themselves than the PS2 has.

I dunno, sad... But still funny.

We dont know how low Sony can go on PS3 price and gain profit, which may be a big factor for if they keep it on the market for too long after PS4 releases.

I'd say this gen, Sony 1st party has already beaten 1st party offerings on PS2. Next year, will pull even further ahead. But then again... Sony 1st party NEEDED to be quality.
