why a separate list of codes? from who?

That separate list is a small group, one of whom is your real Secret Santa. If I just gave you one code, you'd know who your Santa was: by giving you more than one, I can keep their ID a secret.

ehm so i have to give a gift to all the codes your giving me?

i only have a 1000 points budget and as far as i know i can only send gifts to ppl that are in my friendcode list i dont see how this is working i didnt join last year so could someone please clear me up which code i have to friend so that i can send him a gift???

 

Not quite.

You will get one code for your Tiny Tim.  That's the only person you'll be sending to.

 

You'll get a separate list of codes from a bunch of people who could potentially be your Santa (though only one will be the real one).  It would be easy to tell who it was if you only had one code.
