 A lot of people. There was an entire thread about it. Or perhaps it was SSBB.

It still may outsell Halo 3 but it was unrealistic to expect it to pass Halo 3's week 1 numbers ...

Over the next 5 years Super Mario Galaxy will continue to sell thousands of copies every week so it is possible that it will (eventually) pass Halo 3 worldwide
