LOL@mrstickball, you made yourself sound like a great communist leader. :) East-Germany had Trabant and West had Mercedes and BMW.
Also i do expect a lot from (politically former) eastern europe, especially Poland, which equals UK, Italy or France by population and is also a part of the EU, meaning that their income is in a high rise. I don't expect so much from Russia, but we'll see.
@johnlucas(?): N-Gage wasn't British, Mattel Intellivision in the other hand was and Mattel also manufactured NES for British market. Also some of games released in Europe, have this "not to sale in UK" sign, which means UK gets, at some parts atleast, their own versions.
@Topic: I don't recall who said what, but what i was meaning, that even that UK has a lot of studios, they're basically all owned by USAn companies, which means they are used to create the games that the USAns wants them to do. Not necessarily what they would want to develope. Although, UK has potential and i've seen some innovation from UK.
And what i said about the USA:s importance, look what kind of games they make and buy. Biggest sellers are sports games and shooters. Basically all the games, that are developed by USAn developers are sports games and shooters. Japan gives you a lot more variety. USA, in terms of sales, become less and less important with the same speed, that the world outside USA expands it's videogame market. The variety, that the Japanese offer, makes growth possible to diffent regions and diffent people. And i'm not talking about Wii and Nintendo, but Japanese games and developers in general.
Ei Kiinasti.
Eikä Japanisti.
Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
