And by holidays, Im not reffering to just one day, but the gradual increase of sales for the November-December holiday period. Historically, every system increases during this time. We see it every year.....Which is why I attributed parts of the increase to that.

For refference, look at the increase in sales in the US and Japan for overall hardware sales to see I'm not wrong.

Stickyball, in my opening post  I said "clearly SMG and the run up to the holidays is having a great effect on Wii sales."

There clearly is an effect from holiday sales for all Consoles it's just SMG is also increasing sales, exactly how much is hard to judge as nintendo is  releasing more stock due to the holidays and people are starting to do their holiday shopping.

And I have to disagree with you. I don't think a game that moves roughly 70,000 units in the United Kingdom had very little effect on the increase, in terms of the game itself.

However, I do agree that SMG played a role: Nintendo shipped more units to a hardware-starved Europe. Demand is beginning to increase, and with a big game like SMG, they sent extra Wiis along. This is similar to what happened with the new Wii perpherials a few weeks ago. Sales took a huge jump (I think 30,000 units or so) not so much because of the sum of the parts (accessories), but the added supply.

I apologize if my tone was demeaning, or negative. I must not of seen your post about the holiday increase. I just scrolled through 5-10 comments and saw litterally no one say anything about the fact it's mid-November.

Now the US on the other hand..... ;)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
