Wait...what?
1) The Games.
Even as little as a year on, the PS2 had an INCREDIBLE library. The PS3's library in 2007 was nowhere near.
2) Shortages.
People were buying PS3s on eBay? In the same volume that they bought PS2s or Wiis?
3) New Formats.
That's rich. DVD was a 3 year old technology. Blu-ray was brand new.
4) The Price.
$299 was not expensive. Nobody complained about the price. The PS1 launched at $299.
That is an awful, awful article. The PS3 is not the PS2. It could manage half of what the PS2 sold (with luck), but it's not suddenly going to take off next year and cross 100 million or anything.
