They could have a Dojo with a master like in WW who in the final lesson teaches you how to use two swords. This allows you to then challenge and defeat some disgruntled overworld character who awards you some cool special weapon, which while not essential for completion of the game, is very very cool, something like the Biggoron sword or just a super shiny and more powerful version of the mastersword.
