mmm... budget on wii titles is an interesting topic, but as far as i see its pretty messed up
At the beginning, Wii didnt get much support, so few games had decent budgets, this didnt allow the wii to shine as much as it could, it never got enough support on "hardcore" games, and that didnt start to change untl the last year, this year for example we got a good amount of "hardcore" games, all of them with low budget and in many cases small developers too, Ex: The Conduit,Deadly Creatures, Muramasa etc... few of this games are actually succesful and as a result developers are scared to try again
The problem is, they didnt try to make really good games from the very beginning, as a result few people is actually willing to buy those few games, (when developers are scared to try, gamers are even more scared to waste their money), and those who do, expect people to buy low quality games
On the other side, there is also a tendency in developers to aim at niche public trough the wii o__o wtf?
Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!
