Wow, that makes no sense. High development costs on the Wii are a problem? Besides what LordTheNightKnight just said I would like to add that there is no proof of that being actually true. The highest budget I have ever heard of being spent on a Wii game NOT made by Nintendo was Red Steel at $10 million, and that made its money back. For pete's sake, it cost more to advertise the first Left 4 Dead.
Maybe two other games could've possibly matched that budget, and I'm thinking of FFCC: The Crystal Bearers due to Square Enix's normally wasteful business practices and Monster Hunter 3. Developers/Publishers have used every unfounded excuse in the book not to support the Wii. High budget games cannot fail when they are not even being made. |
I guess that makes it a problem doesn't it? This is what the IGN article is saying, developers wont put a budget behind unique ideas. That's the problem. And as you said developers wont do it for Wii because they feel it's risky. Why do I get this feeling that you didn't even care to read what I said.
