Well if they mentioned the Wii there would be no point to the article now would there? High development costs is a problem on Wii as well, which is why developers aren't putting many high budget games on the console, because there is a greater chance for failure on Wii than the HD twins with high budget titles (in the minds of developers).
However the article is why Xbox 720 and PS4 should not release. That has nothing to do with Wii. The article just has very little to do with Wii as a console and you guys are looking for things that aren't there. My guess as to why Wii isn't in the article is that they probably want another Wii to come sooner rather than later.
