On one hand Wii owners seem allergic to quality games when they (rarely) come out of a 3rd party. On the other hand most developers are so lazy and uninterested they don't even bother promoting even their good games. Frankly I'm getting pretty sick of both sides and their incessant bitching.

Wii owners: No good 3rd-party games? Gimmie a break. There are tons of 80%+ games even released this year on Wii and few sold. Sure the bigs names did ok, but almost all of my top Wii games year sold poorly or miserably. This is not a quality issue. But hey nobody ever even heard of them so it sort of makes sence.

Gaming companies: Use some of that hype machine and marketing you use on the HD twins on the Wii. You have a handfull of good games let people know about them. Also stop trying to cash-in with endless shitty ports or crappy casual games.

HD fanboys: Give it up the Wii is a fine platform when it is treated on parity. This has been proven time and time again. Also lets not forget that a the cost of making a Wii game vs a HD game is something like the difference between a DS and Wii game. Hint HD games cost a lot to make and most sell under 200k. Obviously there are blockbusters, but if you look at the release list and sales most non-high profile HD games meet a similar fate as un-marketed Wii games.

What quality games, don't say Madworld and extraction, those are not games that are going to sell well, they are very niche games with little mass appeal

These are all games I enjoyed just since May of this year. This doesn't include any Wiiware games of which there were a few good ones as well.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Reflex,  Need for Speed: Nitro,  Rabbids Go Home, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010, FIFA Soccer 10, A Boy and His Blob, Dead Space: Extraction (yes it counts), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, NHL 2K10, The Beatles: Rock Band, Mini Ninjas, Guitar Hero 5,  Cursed Mountain, Madden NFL 10, Little King's Story, Overlord: Dark Legend, The Conduit, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (I enjoyed it), Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Grand Slam Tennis, Boom Blox Bash Party.

That was just a little over 6 months of games and only includes the ones I have personally played and genres I enjoy. So yeah what are you talking about?

You enjoyed them, and that's great, but that doesn't change that most of them were just niche titles and lacked wide appeal, most of them didn't even get to one million, and we know from other games, that more than a few million core gamers are on Wii.

What is the point you are trying to make- I'm confused? I think maybe we are agreeing to some extent. My point was that there are good games, and they tend to be overlooked by Wii owners and their own publishers. Thus the no good games for Wii thing is just not true. Of that whole list the only ones I would describe as straight up niche are Boy and His Blob, Bloom Blox, and perhaps Cursed Mountain. Most of the rest are sports or based on a major IP of some type.

Are you trying to agree that there are no good Wii games, no good mass appeal Wii games, or what? I think perhaps I'm not following you.

As far as I'm concerned Wii owners complain far too much about publishers and publishers complain too much about Wii owners.

lol I dont even knwo what half those games are.

Let alone didn't know there was already a new NFS on Wii.

Where have you been!!? The Wii NFS is actually the first one worth buying on Wii. They finally got the controls right. Still not as good as a a game as the HD this year, but more fun with friends.
