On what? Do you have any proof, evidence? If there is no evidence, then it is not a fact and therefore you are wrong :) Always remember to link. And I found your previous comment to also be very lacking in substance, you basically took a reasonably valid statement and attacked it despite it only being a theory, nobody is trying to claim factual superiority here save for yourself! |

Go loook it up yourself in their financial statements which are freely available. Just because you want to believe it is false doesn't mean it is. However, I will correct my statement as I did a tiny bit of research and I can confirm that the PS3 destroyed 100% of the profits from the PS2/PSP, but it didn't quite wipe out the PS1, but considering the state of the company as a whole, I'm sure they burnt through that money too. To date they lost over US$3.5B since the launch of the PS3 in the gaming devision alone, and this includes profits from the PS2/PSP. However, they recently combined Vaio PC's with their gaming devision to mudy the waters further. But if you want to argue that those $3.5B lost wasn't on the PS3, then I'll argue that Microsoft hasn't lost ~$7B on the X360 brand.
Also, if it is lacking in substance, then state how it is lacking in substance. Just because someone poses a theory doesn't mean that it is a valid theory, nor does it mean everyone should just swallow it up and say that it is a good theory.
