You guys still think that Galaxy is going to pull through in Japan? Come on... stop fooling yourself. As awesome as the game is for westeners it's a total write off in Japan. The 3d aspect killed it's prospects there. The game is amazing and will most likely eventually outsell Halo 3. I just don't see Japan as being a reason why.
On another note. If you go to wii.com and look up Miyamoto's interview with Iwata about Galaxy, he makes a pretty bold statement. Miyamoto expects that Super Mario Galaxy will sell 10 million copies and be played over 100 million times from beginning to end. So Nintendo is expecting huge sales all around on Galaxy and I think they will go out of their way to make sure it meets those goals. Otherwise WTH?!?! How can a game this good not go on to be one of the most sold games ever?
