You know, resource management is a tricky thing.

I posted this in a NeoGAF thread and they just sort of laughed it out and didn't even consider, but maybe Nintendo needs to outsource more of their development in search of a greater output. Since they want to stay relatively small, they can increase their work force by hiring companies that will do some complementary work. Of course that will require investment, and we also know Nintendo is very careful about that because of their dividend policy with shareholders.

The way they're doing it now, considering third partis aren't willing to take risks without money hats, they have to increase their software output. They already outsource a lot, but bringing new companies to releave them of other technical burdens should be thought about in the future.

Of course they're already expanding, but it's gonna take a while for we to see the results. And if they really go HD, then you're really not gonna see it, since it will take a lot more man power to create individual games.
