can't say I've ever hated EA as I've bought games from them on pretty much every system I've ever owned. Sure they used to make a lot of yearly games, but they also made a lot of good stuff that was entertaining.
As for Activision, can't say I hate them as I mostly just ignore them, but I can only think of 2 games I've ever bought from them. A Tony Hawk game (on N64) and Spider-man 2. Other than that I don't know of any.
