^Why do you think the userbase went up, NSMB was one of the software drivers of the DS's surge, and its still selling more than three years later, now put NSMb on the Wii and watch it work its magic once again, in three years we'll probably be calling this the beginning of the second Wii surge

lol

okay, let's not get way over ourselves here. I do realize this is the only worthwhile Wii title this year (and this is Nov), after massive failure of much hyped Wii title by the name of "The Conduit" by many MANY Wii fans here.

let's not make this game the second coming of Jesus on Wii. shall we?

Let me make this clear, Without online play, this game will sell NOWHERE CLOSE to other games featuring Mario

ROFL, like Davey pointed out Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort both released this year and sold a bunch, didn't move much hardware, but they were sequels to games people already owned so its not too surprising.

What Mario game had online?  Only one I can think of is Mario Kart Wii, SMB didn't, sold 40 million, NSMB DS doesn't, selling around 20 million

NSMB Wii is selling faster than NSMB DS, and will almost certainly sell more than Galaxy

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
