Nintendo stopped responding because they knew your love was fake. Any hardcore Nintendo fan would know the point progression goes 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 1UP

Only in the later casual games for noobs, where it only takes 8 bounces to get a 1UP.  I'm talking OG SMB1 here, back when it took 9 bounces.
