How long do you think someone should study for the SATs?

Don't want to discourage you from studying but the truth is, it is more of a test you just get or you don't. Most of the time people score in the exact same range as before. The average increase for SERIOUS studying is around 100 points (not shabby).

There are of course exceptions, one friend of mine went up from an 1850 to a 2090. But on the other hand another friend is taking it for a fourth time and still unhappy with her score. I took a 10 week prep course and studied around a half hour to an hour a day the week before I took it. I did very well on it so I only took it once. Good luck!
