After watching that video review, this game strikes me as a crappy/watery/easy version of the SSX games from last generation. If the reviewer managed to beat this in a day, something tells me the "for kids" label, however overused, is probably suitable to this game. Arcadey is great, the original ssx games were very aracdey. The thing is, they weren't insanely easy or blatantly aimed at kids (exaggerated artstyle, ingame adverts, simplistic gameplay) and required some skill to place first in later races and trick competitions and to get all the unlockables. Of course none of those factors necessarily make it a kids game, but the way they come together here are pretty obvious.

I read his characterization of the game as: This game is worse than SSX, SSX: Tricky, and SSX 3 in almost every way, only buy this if you want something easy or for your kids. "Seasoned gamers" probably want something that provides enough challenge/depth to take them more than a couple days to complete.

while the first game isn't as complex as SSX (or any other snowboarding game) it has Balance Board support and would be stupid to have to input 10 button presses to execute a trick. So, while it is simple and someone may want a button masher snowboarding game, I don't see how they can just call it kiddy and essentially refuse to review the game because it has simple yet fun gameplay.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
