There are just 3 days to go now until the hugely anticipated release of MW2. We’ve been up early today checking that the stock is on track to reach the stores for launch (good news is it’s all on track!). Remember that it’ll be on sale in the 24 hour Asda stores from 00.01am Tuesday morning. The stores are already planning for big queues at this time and I’ll certainly be down my local store seeing the sales come through. In terms of pricing, well that remains anybodies guess but come Monday’s papers we’ll all know – in fact who’s to say some retailers won’t advertise in tomorrow’s papers?
As for the game itself, well it’s incredible that 600,000 customers have pre-ordered the title already just to ensure they can play on the day of its release. Infinity Ward (the developers) struck gold in 2003 when they released the original Call of Duty and they havent looked back since. The latest release is set in the future, 2016, with new features including a new Spec-Ops mode, customised weaponry and hostage situations to wet the whistle of the seasoned gamer. You have to tip your hat to Infinity Ward & Activision, as there aren’t many who in their sixth iteration can still hold their own and drum up the excitement of an entire army of followers as well as entire industry!
