Seriously, what happened to game lenght this gen? I only buy a few high quality games, and I expect them to last long. Buying what seems like a pretty standard shooter and finishing it in under 10 hours is unthinkable for a game that is more expensive than the average game. Halo 3 with it's shortness made me feel burned, and the only thing keeping me from selling it was FORGE, Forge and playing custom game modes with friends is what saved the game for me, it made it worth the purchase. MW2 just won't have enough content in it for me to be interrested, it will probably have some epic moments and a decent multiplayer, but due to the low player count the multiplayer is likely to become repetitive, and a short single player (even if it's epic) will just make it a shallow experience.
I'm waiting for Battlefield 3 instead.

Halo 3 had co-op which at least doubles the replayability and CoDMW2 features a special ops mode which also extends the game (singleplayer and multiplayer wise)

I take co-op for granted in every console FPS I play, not having co-op in is a crime to me, and I don't buy FPS games without co-op, I played the entire Halo 3 campaign in local co-op, and still found it too short.
What is this, special ops mode that you speak of? If it gets repetitive quick, It's more like a cool extra and not a game extension.

Maybe you should change your point of view here.
Special Ops mode:
"Modern Warfare 2 will feature a cooperative mode entitled Special Ops, which consists of independent missions similar in design to the "Mile High Club" epilogue mission from Call of Duty 4. These missions will take place in a variety of locations from the campaign mode, but aren't related to story of the campaign itself. Special Ops supports cooperative play for up to two players, and can be played alone, in split-screen locally with another player, or online with another player. It includes such scenarios as a snowmobile race, a battle alongside U.S. Navy SEALs, and fending off a wave of 50 enemies at once.
Special Ops is divided into separate groups of missions with changeable difficulty levels. Successfully completing a mission earns the player stars, with missions completed on Veteran difficulty rewarding up to three stars. These stars can be used to unlock more missions in the mode."
