Well, it was! 4's most advanced special effects were puppets dangling from a piece of string. Yoda looked like a childrens' toy. It's for the technology that I loved Star Wars episode 3. The story wasn't bad either, but even 1997's technology couldn't do justice to Star Wars. Oddly enough, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi didn't seem to suffer from that problem of appearing to be a Sci-Fi puppet show. Not that 4 was bad, mind you. Still one of my favourite movies. My hate is reserved for Star Wars 2 with its emo Anakin. |
