Yeah, pretty much all their HD games are made with this engine. Capcom was smart enough to streamline its development. Maybe that's why they're one of the few that's actually turning a  profit.

I'm pretty sure SFIV used a different engine though.

Anyway, even if it's not exactly the MT engine that they are porting, having the Wii integrated in their toolchains will grant easier ports. I still can't see why the Wii couldn't run RE5 over updated RE4 tech. It sure looked like RE4 in HD plus some effects to me.

As to RE5, my only guess is that the horsepower needed for the co-op wasn't there. Keep in mind that I don't at all firmly behind that belief.
