If the game is not going to be ready for next fall ... I think Nintendo probably has to consider it because I think Wii 2 launches in 2011.
Or they could do this ... make it a Wii game, and then make it run on Wii 2 with 1080p visuals/Dolby Digital sound and maybe upgrade the lighting/textures if they have time.
I could see this happening with Zelda and Dragon Quest X.
