Because there is only a limited number of things you can do with the sites graphs?
And if you have a spread sheet you can do calculations much faster you don't have to drum up a bunch of graphs and do free hand calculations every time you want to figure something out. You can do things like running averages, regression lines, calculate% increases after price cuts and stuff like that much more easily.
Also I figured a lot of people here are students and have an interest in learning how to analyze numbers as well as learning how to use a spread sheet so I figured I'd give them some data to mess around with. This isn't for remedial posters that have no interest in learning.
