He was trying to equate dishes to games with a faulty analogy. What you listed is counterfeiting, not the copyright infringement of intellectual property. Counterfeiters also make lower quality items for a reason. I bet they won't be selling you a Rolex made out of gold.
Pirated copies are perfect copies down to the bit, counterfeiting does not produce the exact same results.
