Your thread would way as much as you imply if NPD = world. However, thats not the case. M$ has made a huge impact this gen by taking the U.S. by storm. If you live in America, you'll know that it's IMPOSSIBLE for the ps3 to catch up to the 360 here. 360 has already been ingrained into the mind as the choice for ps2-type console gaming and it was always too late to turn it around so this is no surprise.
