I wouldn't call it a price cut, it was a value added incentive. They stopped making the pro's and value added the extra stuff you get with the elite for the same price. Their is a major difference. This way I would imagine microsoft is still making a profit per console sold. Now if they decide to take 50-100 off this price then they will deffinately be losing money like Sony is.
It still amazes me of the tie in ratio for the 360, man its a software beast.
