Why not blame the developers for dumbing it down, why not blame piracy for exclusives having to go to the consoles.

Why is it necessary to blame the "consoles".

I guess I am not any different than you really. I blame graphic progression for games being dull and boring. Games these days are about being graphically strong, story might suck but if graphics and CGI are in there it is awesome.

Given I have gained some hopes with Witcher and Demon Souls. The only game that I liked that focused on graphics and CGI was Uncharted 2 but that game had fun gameplay to back it up..

Because console gamers are willing to pay up money for bullshit ad crappy games moreso than PC gamers. As I said earlier, PC stadards are much higher than console standards. Developers can get away with much more and their games don't have to be as good on the consoles. That's why I blame consoles, especially the HD ones.

As for piracy, good games sell fine on the PC. Look at Blizzard and Valve games, or Civ4 and The Witcher. They sell fine.

See when I see an angry PC fan talking about consoles, I don't think HD consoles, I think everything I played up till this point. You need to blame HD consoles, more importantly you should blame Live. Yes not even PSN, live itself. Live introduced this whole DLC bullshit. Sad part I have started buying DLC for games I like. Namely Fallout 3 and Grand Theft Auto 4, but those are actual gameplay addon (Similar to Expansions on the PC front) that weren't out on the disc or MAP pack addons.

As for paying for crappy games, everyone does it. Hell at one point when PC was in store, I saw so many bullshit games, and they wouldn't be on store shelves if someone wasn't buying them.

Before you look at PC section and find the movie game, I got that free. 

Good games sell fine on everything (besides PSP and sometimes the Wii), but they do suffer and some of them have to find other markets.
