Dave Mustaine also wrote almost all of the music for the first Metallica album, Kill 'Em All.  The rest of the band kicked him out just before they recorded the album because they knew that he was more awesome than all of the other members in the band put together times seven.  Metallica's career from Ride the Lightning through ...And Justice For All consisted of Metallica trying to copy Dave's ferocious speed metal, and coming up laughably short.  From the Black album on, Metallica admitted defeat to Mr. Mustaine and decided to just write pop music and get rich.  Dave was too cool to care.  Also, he doesn't have to mod his Wii since it obeys his every command just like Vic Rattlehead.

By the way, I still don't have a modded Wii.

It's cool cuz I am a Metallica fanboy. You know one can't exist without the other.

Dave was a douche.. a damn good guitarist but a douche. The band couldn't go foward with Dave being the way he was. What do you expect them to do? Besides, they got Kirk in his place who is a much better guitarist and a lot easier to live with.

All true, except for the Kirk Hammett being a much better guitarist part.  Kirk has yet to play more than one guitar solo.
