Here are some facts
Mario Kart Wii is still selling well. A lot of games struggle to sell over its life what this 18-month title sells in a typical two week period (150k-200k).
In the last two generations -- 11 games have sold 10M. That's 5 PS2, 1 Xbox 360 -- and 5 Wii. So when NSMB-Wii reaches that plateau, it will give the Wii as many 10M sellers as the last two Sony and Microsoft consoles -- combined.
Some might question some of those games, but NPD tracks Wii Play and Wii Fit, so they stand. And if Wii Sports were sold alone, it is anticipated it would have sold about as well as it did in Japan (where it is) -- which is more than two owners out of five (which translates to over 20M in solo sales).
