All 360 games should track achievement progress

Exactly.

I hate lazy devs who put the option to view your achievements in the game menu, but then you only get redirected to the mini dashboard.

Real achievement tracking is awesome.
DiRT2, Gears 2, Orange Box and Left 4 Dead are already doing this.
