Wii sports should count. Otherwise, it's like saying that Super Mario Brothers sales shouldn't count since millions of copies of that game came with the NES. While it's not an option to get a Wii w/o Wii Sports today, I imagine the pack in will eventually change or be removed in the future. (But since it costs next to nothing to make a DVD, maybe Nintendo will always include it.)
If this site decided to not count Wii Sports, then it also shouldn't count the sales of titles given away for free when a store offers a free game when purchasing a 360 (which happened a lot over the holidays and still happens from time to time). Good luck trying to keep track of that.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
